Family. Life. Dreams. Legacy.

Family is everything if you have one.  You rearrange your priorities when you are courting, dating, married, pregnant, parenting, working, living, breathing, existing....you place your family as a priority before everything else.

Life happens.  You tend to forget over time what drove you.  What you wanted to be when you grew up.  You learn about responsibilities and the "real world."  That money really doesn't grow on trees and that your parents were right all along.

Dreams are for suckers.  At least you think thats the case.  Why visually picture things you want or deserve when you will never ever come close to getting them?  You saw how your parents dreams dissipated.

Legacy is something for the rich and famous.  You are just a mom and a dad.  How can you be of any influence to the world?

These are REALLY things we are telling ourselves!  So yes-kids take all your attention but our main focus and center in life should be God.  Next your spouse (because when your kids leave that is all you have left-don't place them at a lower priority than your children).  Then your kids.  Then everything else.  While your job and paying bills is important YOU COULD live without them.  Without God this life we so often take for granted WOULD NOT EXIST.  We are selfish beings by nature.  We want what we want when we want it.  Lets try to re-prioritize our life!

My husband and I became entrepreneurs about 2 years ago.  We had been steady in business but never poured all of our energy into it.  As you can see-life, kids, and bad habits get in the way all to often.  In March of 2015, we moved from Florida to Texas.  This has re-ignited our passion and now we pursue it full time!  But the way we have decided to run it is to RUN WITH IT.   If we fail we have no one to blame but us.

In eight short weeks we have managed to add more team members and customers than maybe the whole first eight months we were in business.  We feel so great about where this adventure has taken us!  The one thing we did differently and continue to do differently is to pray over our business.  Not for richness but for success in helping others.  We pray for guidance and to be led with urgency to those who need it most.  And by no miracle we have been led to some amazing new people here in the great state of Texas!

With this success we have decided that we can no longer allow family and life to stop us!  We cannot allow our "WHY" to be our excuse.  And our "WHY" is to become debt free, show our children and families that its okay to dream, and to leave an amazing legacy of how two simple people were able to impact and change peoples lives!  That means if you are a single mom fighting for more money at the end of the month or a family of six that is struggling to provide enough food on your table---don't say you cannot run a business like ours because your kids keep you too busy or because your job (that doesn't pay well enough) is too exhausting....that is allowing your why to be your excuse!  Shatter through what you THINK you are capable of doing and reach for the stars---the sky is the limit!  WHAT IF IT DOES WORK?

Our dream boards do include a family cruise (extended family included) and a trip to Ireland but it also includes changing ten peoples lives and paying off $63,000 in debt!  Student loans, cars, credit cards, etc.  Why limit what you can dream for?  That's the new vision Christ has placed on our hearts.  Help others and that helps you.  Pray for others because others are praying for you.  Seek to aid the broken and you will be strengthened.  The vision our company has and one we finally have received and understand is that with Christ anything is possible!  And I can now see why so many lives have been transformed by the presence of God working within their lives and extending that presence throughout their business.

Yesterday as we drove alone, my husband and I discussed change.  Why its necessary and why it is dire to us leaving a legacy.  During this conversation I was just consumed with emotion.  Actually coming to terms with the exact amount of debt we have and remembering how our single parents had struggled with the same stress.  Our moms were in a different era where they said no, we accepted it, and never asked about money and why we couldn't afford some things.  Kids now want to know to the exact penny how much money we have, why we can't buy them a $3 apple for their school lunch (yes this happened today), why they can't have phones like their friends, etc.  Its added pressure to parenting!  We just continue to stand united and say mind your business and we aren't your friends parents!

That was a big portion of our discussion regarding legacy.  We want our children to remember us taking them driving cross country every summer, how every Friday in their childhood we had pizza and watched movies as a family, NOT how we left our family $63,000 in debt and how we could never afford to be adventurous.  So here is where we decided ALL EXCUSES ASIDE we WILL MAKE THIS WORK.  In three years we WILL PAY OFF $63,000 in debt.  We will take that family cruise.  We will show our children that parents can work from home, be successful, and life can be fun without price tags consuming it!

But our legacy starts here.  With those that are with us.  Those that will be joining us.  Those who believe in us.  And those willing to work hard to change their own legacy. When you see us at the top 6 years from now, don't say you never had the opportunity we did.  Because you do.  Offered to you here and now...should  you choose to accept it.

---Thank you It Works! Global for somehow weaseling your way into our lives----its been a roller coaster ride and one we are so excited to be on, together!---
