We always tend to associate this term for something involving love the act of falling into it. Really it can mean frightened, excited, surprised, etc. Think about all the moments your heart has "skipped a beat." 1. First crush 2. Loss of a family member 3. Castastrophe (9/11) 4. Wedding Day 5. Extreme Sport (Ziplining) 6. Frightened by something under the stairs. 7. Child falling off of a merry go round 8. Becoming a parent 9. Winning a Prize (Bingo) 10. Graduating high school/college 11. Speaking on stage I mean this list can go on and on. Can a song, a smell, a sound, a look or reaction, or a feeling or sensation take you back to that very moment? The brushing of skin, a dance, a cry.... The capacity of our mind and senses to contain all of this is totally astounding to me! As I sit here writing this post and listening to music in my bed I am brought back to a clear and vivid memory. The year is 1999 and I am lying on the floor of my apartment-listening to the brand new Goo Goo Dolls album from beginning to end. I can feel the dryness and stiffness of the carpet. I can remember the darkness of the room with a hint of light coming from the street light in the alley through my open window. My music was bellowing from my huge black stereo that still played records, cassette tapes, and CD's (because CD's were now all the rage). All of that from a single "deja vu" moment. I challenge you to pick a memory and recall every detail. Your mind is bigger and can recall more than you could even imagine! Don't forget....it is ok to put your brain to work. LOVE YOU CHICKEES! HAVE A GREAT WEEK/WEEKEND!
